Percept

“Percept” is a first person horror game with a heavy story  driven tone, with the intent of picking up on a lot of “tropes” from horror films and games.

In this project, I was the programer where i created the gameplay.

Overall of Percept

The main character will find himself in an asylum in which he finds himself with nothing on but a hospital robe. As he leaves the room he finds the halls empty and a dark presence floating through the ceiling and the shadows of the hallways, he follows through the hallways where the shadow roams, leaving behind a trail of short circuiting light bulbs and tipping over vases until he finds this dark figure in a room, this figure is the main

characters imaginary friend since childhood. The floating creature then explains to us how we can escape the asylum by reaching three different rooms and performing tasks to unlock the exit. As the tasks are completed the asylum starts shaping up into a nightmarish form, where “Pigs” start patrolling the halls looking for the main character. As he completes all three tasks with the help of the shadowy figure he runs to the exit, only to be blocked by two “pigs” who capture him. The main character looks up and sees himself tied to a bed, with two swine heads looming over him, as a drill approaches and perforates through his skull our imaginary friend starts fading away, and the two pig heads shape into two doctors over a surgical table saddened by their act of trying to rehabilitate him.
